Privacy Policy

AISURU ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Avant Concepts LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our service at aisuru.dating and app.aisuru.dating.

By using AISURU, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: email address, name, age, gender, and gender preference
• Profile essays: the five essays you write as part of onboarding
• Photos and videos: media you upload to your profile
• Location: zip code used to determine your geographic area
• Messages: conversations you have with your matches
• Payment information: processed by Google Play on Android (and by Apple on iPhone once the iOS app is available). We never see or store your card details. RevenueCat manages your subscription status and receives your purchase receipts and your AISURU account ID.

• Usage data (pages visited, features used, match interactions)
• Device and browser information
• IP address and approximate location
• Cookies and similar technologies (see below)

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language, and, through Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok, to measure site usage and advertising. You can block cookies in your browser, but signing in requires them.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To power AI-based compatibility matching using your essays and extracted traits
• To deliver daily match results
• To facilitate messaging between matched users
• To process payments through Google Play billing (and Apple in-app purchases once the iOS app is available)
• To measure our advertising: when you sign up, start a trial or subscribe, we send Meta and TikTok an event with a hashed (scrambled, not readable) copy of your email and account ID, your IP address and browser type, and their advertising cookie IDs, so they can tell whether an ad led to the sign-up. We never send your essays, photos, matches or messages.
• To send transactional emails (match notifications, account activity)
• To moderate content for safety and policy compliance
• To improve our matching algorithm using aggregated, anonymized signals

3. AI Processing of Your Essays

Your essays are analyzed by an AI model (Anthropic Claude) to extract personality traits used for compatibility scoring. This analysis produces a trait profile that informs your matches. Your essays are not used to train third-party AI models. Trait profiles are stored securely and are not shared with other users in raw form.

While you write, you can ask for a follow-up question about your draft; the draft is sent to the same AI model to write that question and is not stored with it. If you choose to dictate instead of type, your voice recording is sent to our speech-to-text provider (ElevenLabs) to be transcribed. We keep only the resulting text, which you can edit; we do not store the recording, and our provider transcribes it without retaining the audio or the text.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase: database and authentication infrastructure
• Anthropic: AI processing of essays for trait extraction, compatibility scoring, and writing questions
• ElevenLabs: speech-to-text, only when you choose to dictate an essay
• Google Play: payment processing for AISURU+ subscriptions on Android
• Apple: payment processing for AISURU+ subscriptions on iPhone, once the iOS app is available
• RevenueCat: subscription management (purchase receipts, subscription status, your account ID)
• Google Analytics: site usage analytics, using cookies
• Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and TikTok: advertising measurement through their pixels and server events, as described in section 2
• Sentry: error monitoring; when an error occurs we may record a session replay with all text masked and all images blocked
• Resend: transactional email delivery
• Vercel: hosting and edge infrastructure

Our infrastructure and service providers (Supabase, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, RevenueCat, Resend, Vercel and Sentry) are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes. Google, Apple, Meta and TikTok process the data they receive under their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@aisuru.dating. Some data may be retained for legal compliance for up to 90 days after deletion.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Export your data in a portable format

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), row-level security in our database, and access controls limiting who can view your information. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Children's Privacy

AISURU is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a minor has created an account, we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice within the app. Your continued use of AISURU after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
